Plan Introduction


The origin of the project

The Airport Terminal 3 Station (A14) is a station that has been approved for the construction of the Airport MRT Project. However, at that time, the construction schedule of Airport Terminal 3 Station is undecided. Only the main structure of the first phase of the station (platform, tunnel and the space above it) has been completed, and it is used as a transit tunnel at this stage. In order to cooperate with the revenue service of Taoyuan Airport Terminal 3, the Railway Bureau handling the follow-up construction of the Airport Terminal 3 Station. Based on the detailed design results of the Terminal 3, including station architecture furbished, water and electricity environmental control, elevators and escalators, new entrances and exits and other structures (employee area, machine room area, ventilation ducts and escape routes, etc.), construction supervision and the design, procurement, construction of core electromechanical systems, automatic fare collection systems, baggage handling systems, and flight information systems.

Project outline

  • Project period: August 2017 to December 2026.
  • Project scope: The A14 station has been approved as part of the MRT system. Due to the uncertain construction schedule of the third terminal, only the platform tunnel and the space above it have been constructed. It functions as a pass-through tunnel currently.
  • Construction content: In accordance with the construction schedule of the third terminal at Taoyuan International Airport, carrying out station architecture furbished, water and electricity environmental control, and core electromechanical engineering, as well as the procurement, installation, and testing of baggage handling equipment and other related passenger service facilities.
  • Program funding: NT$6.043 billion.
  • Project location: Taoyuan City.
